Mitsubishi Triton Blackline on sale

Special-edition one-tonner brings black look for a little extra

Mitsubishi has released a special-edition version of its popular Triton 4x4 ute featuring a number of design and equipment extras for less than $2000 more than the GLS variant on which it’s based.

Borrowing its name from limited-edition versions of the Toyota 86 (in 2015)  and Nissan Navara (2013), the Triton Blackline is priced at $43,490 plus on-road costs (manual) and $45,990 plus ORCs (auto).

It’s differentiated from the previous Triton Sports Edition via factory-fitted extras including a black mesh grille, black door mirrors, black exterior door-handles, Blackline decals, Smart Key and One Touch Start.

Powered by Mitsubishi’s trusty 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel, the Triton 4x4 Blackline is available now in three premium paint options: Black, Starlight and Titanium.

Mitsubishi’s Triton was Australia’s third most popular 4x4 ute last year behind the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux, with more than 20,000 sales placing it ahead of the Holden Colorado, Nissan Narava, Isuzu D-MAX, Toyota LandCruiser, Mazda BT-50 and Volkswagen Amarok.
