The Adelaide Oval will host Monster Jam's first show for the 2018 Australian tour.
Headlining the show on Saturday, October 6 is 11 times Monster Jam World Finals champion Tom Meents, driving his vehicle, 'Max-D' (pictured). Along with Meents and three-time champion Justin Sipes ('Megalodon'), Australia's only Monster Jam driver Rhianna Buchanan will also take part behind the wheel of 'Wonder Woman'.
Weighing around 5500kg, each vehicle is nearly four metres tall – and about the same width. Despite the tonnage, the vehicles can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in less than three seconds. With that sort of performance on tap – and with the help of some strategically placed mounds – the monster trucks can jump 12 metres into the air and stay airborne for 50 metres.
From Adelaide, the tour will transfer to ANZ Stadium in Sydney for October 13 before winding up with two shows in Melbourne at AAMI Park on October 20 – at 2pm and 7pm.
Each show promises plenty of action and thrills for monster truck fans of any age. Tickets are available for purchase through Ticketek and are priced at $24 for children.
