Monster Jam is headed back to Melbourne for its only Australian stop during the current 2019 global tour.
Popular drivers Bari Musawwir (driving 'Zombie') and Becky McDonough (in El Toro Loco) will be joined by Linsey Read, a mother of three who steers 'Scooby Doo' (pictured), making her first visit to Australia.
The 'trucks' of Monster Jam are the WWE wrestlers of the automotive world. Measuring four metres from the contact patch of each tyre to the roof line, each monster truck weighs 5500kg. They can reach 100km/h from a standing start in under three seconds and can leap a 50m gap at an 'altitude' of about 12m.
The venue for the action-packed spectacle will be AAMI Park once more, the site of last year's visit to the southern capital. Two shows will be held on the day (October 5) and guests with a pit pass will have access to the pit party prior to the 2pm show where they can see the trucks close up and meet the drivers for autograph signing and selfies. A post-show party at night will provide another opportunity for fans to meet and greet the drivers.
Tickets for either the 2pm or 7pm sessions are now on sale through Ticketek. Prices start from $29 for kids.
