Honda updates Accord Euro with more technology, style, safety across the range, from $30,340Honda's second-generation Accord Euro has received a significant uptick in equipment as the aging model renews its assault on the competition.
The mid-size sedan adds a raft of visual and technological upgrades. Most noticeable of these are a new three-bar grille, resculptured front bumper, fog lamps surrounds and ventilation apertures at the front, and recoloured tail lamps and chrome boot lid garnish at the rear.
Inside, Accord Euro receives new satin-finish door handles, console and steering wheel highlights, as well as an anti-dust treatment for the entry model's cloth upholstery.
The base-spec model also adds Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a new foldaway design key, trailer stability assist system (TSA), auto headlamps and wipers, and the option of 18-inch alloy wheels.
On mid-spec Accord Euro Luxury, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, flip key and TSA are also added.
Range-topping Accord Euro Luxury Navi adds dual HID headlamps with cornering function and auto high beam assistant.
Under the bonnet, the Accord Euro remains unchanged, a single, four-cylinder petrol engine the lone option. It is mated to a choice of six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmissions.
"The Accord Euro has been an excellent car for Honda in Australia," said Honda Australia's senior director, Lindsay Smalley.
"It is a very stylish car and with the base model starting at the Manufacturer's List Price of $30,340 it represents outstanding value for an exceptional sedan."
