Bentley has a launched a new four-seat configuration for its recently facelifted Bentayga SUV that's claimed to maximise legroom and allow those in the rear to recline in comfort.
Tick the Bentley SUV's options box for 'Four Seat Comfort Specification' and the all-new rear seat design allows the opulent, heated and fan-cooled armchairs to recline to up to 40 degrees – eight degrees more than the five-seat version.
Better still, somehow, engineers have managed to also boost knee room in the second row by around 100mm.
As well as being ventilated, the new rear seats also offer a pillow-soft headrest and up to six different massage functions.
Plump for the two rear seats and owners can also combine them with the optional Mulliner Console Bottle Cooler, which can chill and accommodate a 750ml bottle of bubbly and two crystal flutes.
As standard, the centre seat becomes a large console, adding extra storage and two extra USB charging points.
Bentley is so convinced of the level of luxury offered by its new four-seat optionon that it claims the Bentayga is now the "limousine of SUVs" – no doubt a veiled dig at the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
Available for order now, the four-seat Bentayga is expected to arrive in most markets along with the rest of the updated Bentley SUV in the fourth quarter of 2020.
The facelifted Bentley Bentayga range should arrive in Australia by early 2021.
