Holden launched the new VE Ute today. Prices start from $30,990 for the base grade Omega with air conditioning. Further pricing information is available here.
Like its sedan equivalent, the VE Ute range kicks off with the base model Omega. Above the Omega there are three sporting variants -- the SV6, SS and SS V. All V6 variants other than the Omega with automatic transmission develop 195kW. The auto Omega develops 180kW of power.
The Ute's colour palette now comprises nine colours, of which three -- 'K-Pow', 'Atomic' and 'Crunch' -- are new. K-Pow is a metallic blue with purple tint. Atomic is a metallic green and Crunch is a metallic yellow with a green tint. These colours are only available for the sporting grades, but K-Pow is also available for the Omega.
The carry-over colours are: Heron White (solid white); Phantom (metallic black); Redhot (solid red); Nickel (dark silver metallic); Ignition (red/orange metallic/mica); Morpheus (purple metallic).
