Morgan unveils EV3 Junior for kids

Eccentric British car-maker shrinks pure-electric EV3; little trike can crack 16km/h and cover 16km

Morgan has unveiled a new shrunken version of its pure-electric Three Wheeler sports car.

Called the Morgan EV3 Junior, the trike was created for children aged six and over and is a detailed scaled-down version of its full-size EV3.

Made alongside its full range of cars at its Malvern, Worcestershire, factory in the UK the hand-made trike is powered by a small electric motor that is claimed to propel it to speeds of up to 16km/h.

It's range, meanwhile, is claimed to be around 16km or one-hour's use.

A full charge, from a normal plug socket, takes four hours.

Featuring working lights, full suspension and a reverse gear, the baby Morgan stays surprisingly faithful to the 'real' full-size car.

Like the real EV3, the small replica can be custom ordered and painted in any of the 40,000 colours the car-maker offers for its full range.

Unfortunately, this is reflected in how much Morgan plans to charge for the EV3 Junior.

If you want to buy one for your kid, you'll need to part with £6663 ($A11,000 plus taxes).
