Most distracting songs to listen to in the car revealed

New research has revealed the hottest hits that are best listened to at home

There aren’t many feelings as liberating as the wind rippling through your hair as you cruise down your favourite road, music pumping as you scream-sing along. But, could your favourite music be putting you in danger?

Well, UK driving school PassMeFast, has now used science to reveal which songs are rated as the most distracting.

Okay, it’s not strictly scientific, but according to PassMeFast, the company took 20 of the most popular driving playlists on music-streaming service Spotify and scored them in three categories: energy, danceability and valence, or, how emotionally charged they are.

Songs with the highest distraction score were said to have high energy and were emotionally charged but had low danceability thanks to an irregular beat or tempo.
