Muscle Car Masters attracts A-list drivers
Moffat, Bond and Richards among the stellar cast confirmed for October eventThis year's Muscle Car Masters to be held at the Sydney Motorsport Park has attracted some of the highest-profile names in Australian motorsport.
Organisers have announced that four-times Bathurst winner Allan Moffat will head a stellar cast of drivers locked in for the October 29-30 weekend.
The Ford stalwart will make his 12th annual appearance, alongside John Goss and Kevin Bartlett, Colin Bond and Fred Gibson.
Also present on the grid will be seven-times Bathurst winner Jim Richards aboard his former JPS Group C car in the Heritage Touring Cars category, alongside evergreen John Bowe.
Now in its 10th year, the Muscle Car Masters event features historic Group A and C Touring Cars in the Heritage Touring Cars class, Australian Trans-Am, Group N Historic Touring Cars and Group S, as well as a new Sports Racing Car Invitational demo category featuring ‘big banger’ Sportscars, Sports Sedans and Can-Am machines.
The 2016 event will feature for the first time vehicles from the Australian V8 Touring Cars category and the Australian 5.0-litre Touring Car Association.
