Our eagle-eyed spy photographers at Carparazzi have spotted a mysterious Lamborghini prototype undergoing testing at Germany's famed Nurburgring circuit.
While at first glance the car appears to be a Spyder version of the LP 570-4 Superleggera -- the car unveiled at April's Geneva Motor Show -- it sports a smaller pop-up type rear wing and revised front bar, similar to that found on the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni edition.
The changes listed, along with a hint of Arancio Borealis paint peaking out from beneath the cammo, lead us to believe the convertible will feature the same powertrain as its hardtop sibling, Lamborghini's mid-mounted 419kW/540Nm 5.2-litre V10 and superquick E-Gear transmission.
With the car obviously close to production, we expect to see the model make an appearance at the Paris Motor Show in late September.
