The 2025 Tesla Model Y Performance is already a serious-looking unit, but local customers will have soon the chance to make it menacing as well as more efficient or dynamic with the release of a new aero package.

The Finer Details
While the full kit is being advertised exclusively for the flagship Performance, the rear fins, diffuser extension and spoiler are all compatible with the lesser (facelifted) RWD and Long Range variants, meaning more owners can take advantage of the efficiency and cosmetic gains.
The front splitter and canards, however, are indeed only applicable to the Performance owing to its different front bumper.
“The full kit removes all lift in the stock car bringing it to net downforce,” an Unplugged Performance spokesperson said.
“The result is a measurable performance improvement you will feel in both spirited driving and daily commutes, giving the Model Y Performance the poised, planted confidence of a sports sedan while it maintains SUV practicality.”
The Road Ahead
Unplugged Performance hasn’t stipulated any range impacts of the kit or its various components but has confirmed availability to Australia.
The full kit starts from US$1295 (A$1986) plus postage – local customers will have to front the relevant import duties, taxes and/or customs fees – with international pre-orders being taken now and the first units distributed by end of year.
The 2025 Tesla Model Y Performance meantime will arrive Down Under, from Germany, in December priced from $89,400 plus on-road costs.
