New age Nagari debut in Melbourne
The Bolwell brothers have revived the Nagari name for their new sports car -- and justice is doneThe Melbourne International Motor Show will host the launch of the new Bolwell Nagari at the end of February next year.
Those who fondly remember the original Bolwell sports cars from the sixties and seventies -- but also recall the unloved Ikara -- should be pleasantly surprised by the new car. Although it shares only the name with the older car, the new Nagari is a professional design featuring attractive, modern styling.
There's no official word on powertrain as yet, but we understand (more here) that the new Nagari will be built on Toyota V6 mechanicals with a supercharger -- rather than the Ford V8 of the earlier Nagari.
The pictures show brothers Campbell and Owen Bolwell working on the new car. Both brothers have been actively engaged in development of the new car over the past three years.
