Ahead of its reveal on July 11, Audi has teased another feature of its all-new A8 sedan that will help convince buyers to choose it over a BMW 7 Series or Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Featuring Spiderman himself, or at least a younger version of the superhero, the short video shows how a rear passenger operates the foot massage function using a centrally-mounted touchscreen panel between the rear seats.
Called 'Relaxation Seats' Audi hasn't released any information on how the seats work, but it's thought the seats use the same electric motors and vibration pads as massage seats.
Other things to spot in the video is the car featured appears to be the long-wheel base A8L that's expected to be available from launch.
Set to be revealed officially on July 11 at a special VIP event in Barcelona, it's already been announced that the A8 will come with an advanced semi-autonomous parking aid that can steer, accelerate, reverse and brake safely in a space – even when no-one is on board.
Recently, Audi also confirmed its S-Class alternative will come with a high-tech 48-volt electrical system that, thanks to an enlarged alternator/starter motor, would offer a near seamless start/stop facility and the ability to coast on the highway at speeds up to 160km/h.
Claimed to boost power and efficiency, the new electrics will be combined with a lightweight construction that ditches the old car’s full aluminium space frame for architecture that combines aluminium, steel, magnesium and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics.
