The Finer Details

The venerable 2025 Polestar 2’s value equation has been enhanced through a combination of mechanical and equipment upgrades, most of which focus on the base Standard Range.

For starters, the old 69kWh LG Chem battery has been replaced by a 70kWh CATL unit that brings an extra 8km of range and ups the maximum DC charging power from 135kW to 180kW, thereby shortening the 10-80 per cent charge time to 26 minutes.

All MY26 Polestar 2s will be fitted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor chip which supports “quicker download speeds for in-car apps, faster reaction times within apps and actions, improved centre display responsiveness, and smoother performance across the infotainment system”.

The ‘Jupiter’ paint option has been replaced by ‘Dune’, tinted rear windows are standard, a 14-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system is now optionally available while the Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack halo now comes with the Plus Pack as standard, plus the option of forged 20-inch alloy wheels.
