Volkswagen is reviving buyer interest in the New Beetle retro hatch with a limited edition model, the New Beetle BlackOrange.
As a package, the BlackOrange option is available for every New Beetle variant, including the Cabriolet. Priced from $27,500 (manufacturer's list price, not including on-road costs and dealer pre-delivery charge), the New Beetle BlackOrange is $800 more than the donor car, but adds 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, leatherette seat upholstery, cruise control, front fog lights, tinted rear side/rear windows, aluminium pedals and leather-bound steering wheel/gear knob,
For $37,700, the New Beetle Cabriolet BlackOrange is priced as for the standard Cabriolet, with automatic transmission a $2500 option (for the hatchback models also, excluding the manual-only diesel). Additionally the limited edition Cabriolet comes with a removable and folding windbreak behind the front seats.
Two colour combinations are available: Black gloss exterior with silver mirrors, silver alloy wheels and silver decals for the lower flanks of the body, or Red Rock metallic exterior with black roof/mirrors, black alloy wheels and black decals for the lower flanks.
