Buyers and sellers of classic, collectable, high-end and/or ‘story-rich’ vehicles now have new platform to indulge their passions and transactions in, with Curated by Chrome Temple placing the emphasis on conveying the story and “aesthetic beauty” behind each vehicle.
Identifying a gap in the market not covered by traditional outlets including auction houses, Curated says its content will be “more akin to a high-end automotive publication, rather than that of a purely transactional environment devoid of context, passion and emotion”.
Each vehicle will be professionally photographed, videoed and featured on their own dedicated landing page with bespoke editorial content delving into its background, design and specification details.
Rather than including the price in the advertisement, Curated says its content strategy is formulated with a price-on-application focus, while sellers seeking total discretion can opt for an off-market option.
This particular method was employed to sell the platform’s first vehicle; a re-engineered 1990 Porsche 964 that sold for the seller’s full asking price within five hours of being offered to Chrome Temple Motors subscribers.
“Our initial plans were to launch Curated with the 1990 Porsche 964 and with the success of the sale, we've had to fast-track the next round of vehicles,” Chrome Temple Motors general manager and co-founder Alex Rogers said.
“The reception to the first Curated sale proves the market wants a service like this and we are certain the upcoming vehicles will prove just as popular.”
The next round of cars includes a re-engineered 1951 Ford F-1, an all-original first-generation Dodge Viper, a Ferrari F12 and a Mercedes AMG GT R.
These vehicles will all be offered to subscribers early in the New Year.
According to Chrome Temple Motors CEO and co-founder Lex Pedersen, the platform’s launch offers a previously unseen “level of customer experience, discretion, content and support” within the local automotive market.
“The introduction of Curated is just further proof of our focus on finding a better way to serve our customers and community,” he said.
The new Curated service will complement Chrome Temple's existing Motors, Investments, and Storage + Transport services.
