Holden is aiming to match Ford's SYNC system with MyLink, which is being rolled out in the new Barina CDX – a range-topping level of trim for the light segment Holden.
“At only $2,500 more than the equivalent CD model, the CDX represents great value and is loaded with a high level of specifications and features,” Holden's Marketing Manager for Small, Medium and Electric Cars, Emma Pinwill, said in a statement released today.
Equipped as standard with the six-speed automatic transmission, the Barina CDX, which will be sold in the form of both sedan ($20,990) and hatch ($20,490), also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, reverse-parking sensors and electric power steering. Other features fitted include: front fog lights, leather-bound steering wheel/transmission shifter, heated front seats in Sportec trim, trip computer, storage tray under front passenger's seat, sunglass holder and exterior chrome trim. The MyLink system comprises a seven-inch colour touch screen that can display videos and photos, as well as providing a control interface for the audio system and hands-free telephony.
Colours for the 2013 model Barina range consist of Summit White, Satin Steel Grey (prestige), Nitrate Silver (prestige), Velvet Red, Boracay Blue (prestige), Snowflake White Pearl (prestige, new), Carbon Flash Black (prestige).
