New Ford Focus Ultimate Test Drive: introducing our finalists
And then there were 12… The win-a-Focus finalists have been chosen – and put to work…The judges have judged; the finalists are finalized; the host is happy.
“Yep, we're really pleased with who we've chosen as finalists in the Ultimate Test Drive,” Ford’s general manager of marketing, David Katic, told motoring.com.au.
“There was certainly plenty of debate as to who should get the guernseys, which was good because it helped us select a really diverse group of people who’ll each bring a unique creative talent to the competition.”
So without further ado it’s time to meet our daring dozen. Upstanding citizens and outstanding talents all [Ed: We hope ;)]. Ford Australia, the carsales group and motoring.com.au would like to welcome them all to the Ultimate Test Drive...
From Victoria... Ladies and gentlemen, meet Andrew Leech, James Cook, Guy Dolev and Carla Ziino. From Queensland... There’s a distinct feminine skew to the Sunshine State crew – like, 100 per cent: Leanne Chalkley, Bianca Sparreboom and Janet E Leach, come on down. And from New South Wales... Let’s hear it for Benjamin Douglas, Warren Mendes, Penny Welsh, Blake James and David Tunnicliffe.
We’ll introduce you properly with stories to come, but let’s simply say – it’s a diverse group. And that’s important, says Ford marketing boss Katic because this diversity “reflects the market itself, and who is buying small cars”.
“It also means that there'll be lots of variety in the content our finalists produce -- to keep voters interested and engaged,” Katic said.
“It'll be interesting to see who wins. To each and every one of them I say good luck!”
