Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) has confirmed it will pull the drapes off a second supercar named the GMA T.33 on January 27 at its new UK headquarters.
Specific details have yet to be provided, but the new model – codenamed Project Two – has been created under the mantra to be the "world's finest supercar".
Developed to sit under the extreme GMA T.50, it's widely rumoured the 2022 GMA T.33 will trade some of its performance on track for great useability, comfort and refinement on the road.
Development and production of the T.33 will take place at British car-maker's new £95 million ($A95m) manufacturing hub in Windlesham, Surrey.
As part of GMA's sizeable investment in its new Surrey HQ, GMA's new home will also feature a fully functioning test track on which the T.33 is set to begin testing following its completion before the end of 2022.
Produced to be more accessible, in terms of price, compared to the £2.8 million ($A5.3m) T.50, the T.33 will once again be a masterclass in lightweight engineering thanks to Murray's iStream production philosophy.
Set to feature a rear-mid-mounted layout, it's thought the T.33 will utilise an updated version of the naturally-aspirated Cosworth-developed 480kW 3.9-litre V12 found in the T.50, which will be capable of revving to more than 12,000rpm.
Instead of a track focus, the T.33 will have a softer, comfort-biased suspension, plus a luxurious cabin normally associated with fast GTs.
There's no word on whether the T.33 will use a three-seat layout borrowed from the famed McLaren F1 Murray also engineered, but it's been reported that Project Two will be based around an all-new carbon-fibre monocoque that's designed to seat two.
Commenting on GMA's new home and the upcoming supercar, Gordon Murray said: "We will have many important milestones for our new headquarters over the next two years. But one of the most important will be on 27 January when we reveal the first Gordon Murray Automotive vehicle to be manufactured there.
"We’re all extremely excited to be revealing such a significant car to the world in just three weeks from now."
