Lamborghinis and Louboutins aplenty, the official opening of Lorbek Luxury Cars’ new showroom in Port Melbourne (Vic) had it all.
A milestone 33 years in the luxury car business and a new showroom that sees the successful Lorbek enterprise now occupy around two-acres of land in inner-city Melbourne, there was plenty to celebrate.
Pristine walls and scuff-free floors showcased Lamborghini’s Murcielago, a GT40, Maserati Ghibli, McLaren’s 675LT, Aston Martins and more. In a showroom where even Porsches take a second-row posting, to use the term automotive eye-candy is an understatement.
As hundreds of guests descended on the exclusive invitation-only event, the car park too took on a showroom vibe of its own. Inside, some of Melbourne’s most wealthy motoring enthusiasts were treated to an evening of equally prestigous food and drink, with the promise of late-night partying to follow.
In what felt like a family affair, Srecko Lorbek garnered much admiration, not only for his unrivalled floor stock, but his contribution to the luxury car industry in Australia in general.
Despite the distinct lack of Lexus on the floor, one-time ambassador for the Japanese prestige marque and F1 World Champion, motoring legend Alan Jones, also addressed the room and sang the praises of the Lorbek group… And of course, its their stellar welcome party.
