New Jeep Cherokee for $10K

But only for 10 people willing to jump through a number of hoops

Jeep has launched a novel marketing campaign to promote its new Cherokee, which went on sale in Australia this month priced from $33,500 plus on-road costs.

In what the American SUV brand claims is a world-first, 'The World’s Most Remote Dealership’ campaign is offering 10 lucky winners a brand-new Cherokee Longitude 4x4 auto for just $10,000 drive-away, which is at least $29,000 less than its retail price.

“The World’s Most Remote Dealership brings the Jeep ‘Don’t Hold Back’ attitude to life with a unique offer,” said the Fiat Chrysler Australia President and CEO, Veronica Johns. “We believe this is a world-first and a campaign only Jeep could pull-off.”

The campaign seeks adventurers via TV, online or a new Jeep App, where the exact location and details of the dealership will be revealed.

“The all-new Jeep Cherokee is at home in the city but, unlike some of its rivals, it’s equally at home somewhere far remote – which is where we’re opening a dealership for a day,” said Ashlin Moore, Senior Manager Advertising at Fiat Chrysler Australia.

Unsurprisingly, however, there are a number of catches.

To purchase one of 10 Cherokee Longitudes for just $10K drive-away, entrants must first download and register their details in the Jeep App from the App Store or Google Play by 8.59am AEST on July 10.

When the countdown in the Jeep App reaches zero, the location of The Remote Dealership, as well as its distance from you and its phone number, will be revealed.

The first 10 customers who call The Remote Dealership, make a commitment to buy and can arrive there on Saturday, July 26 will have the chance to buy a new Jeep for $10K.

Successful callers will be directed to their nearest Jeep dealership to pre-purchase their car before picking it up at the as-yet-undisclosed remote dealership.

Payment of $10K needs to be arranged at your local Jeep dealership by 5.00pm AEST on July 11.

Only the 10 people who secure a Cherokee over the phone and complete payment will be able to collect their cars at the remote dealership on July 26.

If an entrant is successful buy fails to arrive on July 26, they will be refunded their $10,000 less on-road costs of $1000 and forfeit their right to purchase one of the Cherokees.

"While the journey may be a challenge for the lucky 10, the drive home will be a pleasure in the all-new Cherokee," says Jeep.
