New Jeep Grand Cherokee exposed

Crucial new SUV’s iconic design has been revealed on Twitter along with three-row layout

SUV specialist Jeep has revealed the front-end design of the new-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The teaser image posted on Twitter, which we have brightened up a little, reveals sleek new headlight clusters flanking a modern take on the US brand’s signature seven-slot grille.

Drawing inspiration from the Grand Wagoneer’s exterior styling, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee L is expected to arrive in Australia later this year (or early next year) with loads of new features, including a three-row, seven-seat option for the first time.

There's a lot riding on the new Jeep Grand Cherokee

This will enable the new Jeep Grand Cherokee to take on the likes of the Toyota Prado and other seven-seat large SUVs whose popularity is expected to boom as Australians are forced to holiday domestically while international travel remains off-limits due to COVID-19.

Jeep’s tweet reads: “More room for adventure. Tune in tomorrow at 12 PM EDT for the reveal of the All-New 3-row Grand Cherokee L. Available Summer 2021. Preproduction model shown.”

That translates to (very) early Friday morning in Australia, and we’ll bring you full details of the new-generation model as soon as the embargo lifts.
