New Lumina in the spotlight

Holden has announced the latest special edition Lumina variant of its Commodore sedan and wagon. And the lion reckons there's $6000 of goodies up for the taking.

Holden has announced details of its latest special edition Commodore. Boasting more than $6000 of extra features, the VZ Commodore Lumina is based on the Executive and is available in both sedan and wagon variants.

Powered by Holden's 175kW Alloytec V6 (with four-speed auto), the special edition Lumina comes equipped with sports suspension (sedan only), larger 17-inch alloy wheels, six-disc in-dash CD player, front and rear power windows and leather steering wheel, gear selector and handbrake handle.

GM Holden Director of Marketing, John Elsworth, said Lumina reinforced Commodore's reputation for outstanding value.

According to GM, 3700 Luminas (2775 sedans and 925 wagons) will be produced. They are on sale now and will be offered until December.

Recommended retail pricing for the VZ Commodore Lumina sedan is $32,990. The wagon is $2000 more.
