Daimler has announced that the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be unveiled tomorrow as part of a live-streamed event.
Releasing a single teaser image of the next Maybach S-Class' two-tone pinstriped C-pillar, the German Rolls-Royce Ghost rival is set to benefit from a wheelbase stretched by more than 180mm over the regular S-Class and feature a completely redesigned body from the B-pillar back.
The bigger body was deemed necessary by Mercedes-Maybach to ensure it offered rear seat passengers considerably more space compared to the S-Class, enabling occupants to lounge out in the height of luxury.
Speaking of which, expect airline-style fold-flat rear seats and for the Maybach to benefit from the same mind-blowing new tech introduced by the latest W223 Mercedes-Benz S-Class limo.
New features previewed by the luxury brand include seats that feature calf muscle massagers and heating for the neck and shoulders.
Under the bonnet, the big news is the current car's twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 carries over. It is expected to pick up 48-volt mild-hybrid tech, meaning it could produce as much as 500kW.
For the 2021 Mercedes-Maybach a plug-in hybrid version will also be available from launch as well as an electrified V8.
Stay tuned as all will be revealed tomorrow.
