Nissan Australia has revealed pricing and specs for key variants of the 2021 Nissan Navara range that will be crowned by a new PRO-4X flagship model priced from $59,790 drive-away.
The initial pricing relates to ABN holders only and sees the entry-level SL Single Cab Chassis 4x2 manual kick things off at $32,990 drive-away, which is a sharp increase from the current opening point of $27,150 plus on-road costs for the RX model.
The volume-selling ST-X Dual Cab Pick-up 4x4 – expected to account for about a third of all Navara sales – will start from $55,790 for the six-speed manual (seven-speed auto adds $1500), while a more affordable ST version will also be available at $49,490 drive-away.
The launch range will top out at $61,290 for the auto version of the PRO-4X Dual Cab Pick-up.
Replacing the N-TREK, the PRO-4X made its global debut in Melbourne last month at a simulcast event held in conjunction with other key markets, and will have a number of headline features including unique black alloy wheels (with all-terrain tyres) and black treatment to the fender flares, roof rails, door mirrors, side steps, grille and door handles.
While a locally-developed Navara Warrior version of the PRO-4X will come at a later date, the big news with the new-look 2021 Nissan Navara launch range that enters showrooms early next year comes with the upgrade in advanced safety and infotainment tech.
Across the entire range – which continues with single, extra (King) and dual-cab body styles, most powered by an unchanged 140kW/450Nm 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine – all variants will include autonomous emergency braking (AEB), forward collision warning, an intelligent driver alert and a reverse parking camera.
From the ST Dual Cab onwards, additional driver assist features include an around view monitor with moving object detection, lane departure warning, intelligent lane intervention, blind spot warning (and intelligent blind spot intervention), rear cross traffic alert and high beam assist.
At the entry level, standard fare on the infotainment front will include an 8.0-inch touch-screen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the ST grade brings satellite navigation and DAB+ digital radio.

A single-turbo version of the 2.3-litre diesel (120kW/403Nm) carries over on two variants with a manual transmission and 4x2 driveline, while Nissan also says that every dual-cab variant will have a minimum one-tonne payload “courtesy of the model’s strengthened rear axle and brake upgrades”.
