Škoda might be one of the oldest car companies in the world, but it has been relatively late to the party where capped-price servicing is concerned.
Now, with the release of the third-generation Octavia, Škoda has rolled out a six-year/90,000km (whichever comes first) capped-price servicing program it says is one of the longest in the market.
Aimed at “reinforcing its position in the after-sales segment”, the program includes the regular replacement of oil filters, engine oil and the sump plug washer at every service, as well as the standard replacement of the air filter (at 45,000 and 90,000km) and spark plugs (at 60,000km).
Together with Škoda’s market-competitive warranty and included roadside assistance scheme, the capped-price servicing program looks set to improve the value equation for potential Octavia buyers, and one the Czech brand is looking to soon offer across its entire model range.
“It [capped-price servicing] will soon be included across our entire range of model-year 2014 cars,” said Škoda Australia Director, Michael Irmer.
Depending on the variant, the Octavia Capped Price Servicing Program ranges from as little as $269. The Octavia’s service intervals are set at 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first.
