New Porsche Panamera from $210K

Porsche reveals $5000 higher starting price for new Panamera sedan

We drove Porsche's new Panamera at the global launch in August and since then Australian prices for all but the entry-level models have been revealed.

Porsche has now changed that by revealing the base Panamera will cost $210,000 plus on-road costs, making it over $5000 more expensive than before, while the all-wheel drive Panamera 4 will cost $220,400 plus ORCs (up $3600).

Set to be revealed at next week's Los Angeles motor show, both entry-level Panamera models are powered by a new 243kW 3.0-litre petrol V6 that consumes 7.6/L/100km, making it 15 per cent more powerful and 1.0L/100km more efficient than before. The Panamera 4 consumes 7.8L/100km.

Standard Australian equipment for both models will include Adaptive Air Suspension, Adaptive Cruise Control, four-zone climate-control, LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including Voice Control and Connect Plus (Apple Car Play), Digital Radio, 14-way power seats with Comfort Memory Package, Panoramic Roof, front/rear Park Assist and Surround View.

While the Panamera 4S and Turbo arrive in local showrooms by March, they will be followed in the second quarter of 2017 by the 4S Diesel and in the third quarter by the Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.

Porsche Cars Australia says it has already taken 40 pre-orders for its new six-variant Panamera range, but advised that its new twin 10.1-inch Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment system will not be available here "until a later stage when the features are developed for the local market".
