Rick Kelly's Nissan Altima will take its place on the grid at the Clipsal 500 next month wearing new livery to reflect the involvement of a new sponsor, Sengled Australia.
Sengled Australia is the brainchild of David Clerk, who is credited with 'a range of app-controlled, intuitive, eco-friendly products' for light bulbs to 'expand smart home capabilities', according to a press release issued earlier this week by Nissan Motorsport, welcoming the new sponsor to the stable.
"We look forward to bringing the innovative range of products to V8 Supercar fans and see this sport as a perfect platform to promote our range of technology lead products," Clerk was quoted saying in the press release.
"It is particularly exciting to know we can support another great Australian innovator as he races towards further success."
Kelly himself paid tribute to the new sponsor for its leading-edge consumer technology.
"Innovation and technical development are the backbone of our business and sport so we are very excited to join forces with SENGLED AUSTRALIA. SENGLED are a business that is passionate about innovation and is pushing the boundaries on research and development to drive success in its field. But when it comes down to it, I just love gadgets and these are some of the coolest gadgets around"
"This year establishes a new partnership for me and one that I am very excited about to support SENGLED's growth in Australia. It's always terrific to help introduce a new brand to the sport and I feel really fortunate to be involved with SENGLED. The car livery is a huge change from what I have been used to since starting our own Team and what we've managed to achieve is something really unique."
Adelaide's Clipsal 500 kicks off the V8 Supercars season and runs from March 3 to 6.
