The 2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series made its global debut little more than three months ago and it’s already come in for the ‘pimp my ride’ treatment by a number of Japanese aftermarket suppliers.
First there was the Modellista upgrade bringing beefier front and rear bumpers and bigger 21-inch wheels, and now Liberty Walk has gone to town with this butch new package for the all-new ’Cruiser.
We at carsales don’t normally cover aftermarket mods and we certainly don’t condone the transformation of rugged ladder-frame SUVs designed to cross the Simpson into slammed, city-slicking sleds that never leave the tarmac.
But we have to admit the new 300 Series does form the basis of a seriously cool street machine that exudes bucketloads of street cred with just a few minor mods.
For evidence, look no further than this Liberty Walk body kit, which goes quite a bit further than the feisty new GR Sport variant of the 300 Series.
It’s available from Japan as a complete package for a cool $US19,580 ($A26,990), which is actually a snip compared to the near-$100,000 drive-away starting price of the new LandCruiser.
And there are cheaper packages to consider, starting with the Light Complete Body Kit comprising front and rear half spoilers and wide-body fenders for $US6270.
Then there’s the $US8580 Full Complete Body Kit that adds a grille and two rear spoilers to the menu, and the $US14,080 Premium Complete Body Kit that also includes a bulging black carbon-fibre bonnet, while the top-shelf package throws in huge black multi-spoke wheels.
Whatever floats their boat, 300 Series LandCruiser customers now have plenty of cosmetic options to consider while they settle in for the long wait for delivery.
