The new 2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series was officially launched in Australia today, when Toyota also announced a range of new accessories and service costs.
Ahead of our first Australian review on October 21, we’ve already driven a prototype version of the new 300 Series, first customer deliveries of which have been delayed until next year.
We’ve also covered full specifications and pricing, including drive-away pricing that now start at almost $100,000, all of which you can also find below.
Toyota today also confirmed its aftersales provisions for the new LandCruiser, all versions of which are powered by a new 3.3-litre turbo-diesel V6, and the bad news is that short six-month/10,000km service intervals (whichever comes first) will continue on from the V8 diesel-powered 200 Series – and most other Toyota models.
For the first time in a LandCruiser, Toyota has extended its capped price service program from three years/60,000km to five years/100,000km, but prices have gone up from an average of around $280 per service, to $375.
That means servicing under the Toyota Service Advantage program over the first five years or 10 services will set 300 Series owners back $3750.
Toyota cited “technical reasons” for the shorter servicing intervals.
“We’re always evaluating our servicing intervals. What we know is LandCruiser is often used in severe conditions, our capped price servicing is very affordable and competitive,” said Toyota Australia vice president of sales and marketing Sean Hanley.
“Our 200-plus dealer network makes us well positioned to be able to service our customers, particularly our remote locations.”
As with all new Toyota vehicles, a five-year/unlimited-km factory warranty is standard, and owners can extend the warranty to seven years/unlimited-km for the engine and driveline, provided they stick to the servicing schedule.
The extended powertrain warranty excludes vehicles used for commercial purposes such as taxis, hire vehicles and ridesharing.
