New car-maker Lyons Motor has announced it will showcase its new LM2 Streamliner supercars at the New York motor show next week.
Based in New York City itself, the new US car-maker hopes it will stun showgoers with the car, claimed to be capable of reaching 100km/h in just 2.2 seconds, 160km/h in 4.1 seconds and 320km/h in just 11.85 seconds.
Powered by an 8.2-litre twin-turbo V8 that generates 1250kW/1283Nm, the production version of the Streamliner will top out at 290mph (467km/h), Lyon Motors says.
Channelling the immense power through all four wheels is a seven-speed sequential gearbox.
Inside, there’s a large 16-inch touch-screen infotainment system.
Creator and company owner, Kevin Lyons describes the LM2 Streamliner as: “not only an engineering tour de force; it is a masterpiece equivalent to fine art”.
Lyons says when the New York City built supercar goes on sale it will: “counter the best performing and exclusive vehicles from Europe, Asia and beyond have to offer.”
Pricing for the new hypercar, as well as when production will start, is expected to be released at the New York motor show.
When launched the LM2 Streamliner could be a new rival for the new 1103kW/2000Nm Koenigsegg Regera that was recently unveiled at the Geneva motor show.
