Infiniti has teased a single shadowy tease of a large luxury SUV it plans to unveil on April 11 at the New York motor show.
Named the QX80 Monograph SUV, the full-size off-road wagon picks up where the 2016 Beijing auto show QX Sport concept left off by sharing a development of its headlights and an enlarged, squared-off version of its grille.
Like the current QX80, the next-gen model is once again rumoured to ride on a separate or ladderframe chassis, and the new QX80 is tipped to share its rugged underpinnings with the next-generation Nissan Patrol which is being developed alongside the next Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero.
Under the bonnet, the big Infiniti SUV is thought to come with a new plug-in hybrid powertrain that could be based around a new twin-turbo petrol V6.
A traditional petrol V8 and, this time round, diesel power are also expected.
More details will be released leading up to its New York unveiling.
