Nissan launches Z driving shoes in collaboration with Negroni

Japanese car brand teams up with renowned leather and shoemaker to create driving shoes that’ll match your new Nissan Z.

Rolls-Royce, Porsche and Bentley are just a few luxury car-makers that allow buyers to customise their vehicle to match their favourite accessories. Gucci heels? Louis Vuitton satchel? Bottega purse? You best believe you can get your car painted the same colour.

Now, Nissan has partnered with Japanese shoe and leather goods company, Negroni, to introduce a line of driving shoes in the same bright colours as the upcoming 2023 Nissan Z.

?The collaboration sees the Nissan Z interpreted by Negroni's Idea Corsa driving shoe which has been an icon of the brand for many years. The man behind the latest Z car, Hiroshi Tamura is said to have owned his own pair of Idea Corsa driving shoes for many years.

So, while you can’t necessarily choose from an infinite colour wheel for your two-door coupe, you can at least get some kicks to match. Available in three colour combos including White, Lightning Yellow and Ceylan Blue, each pair comes with silver detailing and is embellished with a ‘Z’ logo on the outer heel.

Pricing for the Negroni Idea Corsa x Nissan collab range starts from 3740 yen ($47 AUD) for the white pair, while the Ceylan Blue costs 4620 yen ($58 AUD).

Meanwhile, the Lightning Yellow driving shoes are priced at a whopping 48,400 yen ($605 AUD).

Negroni says the driving shoes offer outstanding comfort and operability, with the silver ‘checkered steel’ said to be scratch and dirt resistant.

However, while the shoes are on sale now, fans will have to wait a little longer for their matching Z car, with Aussie deliveries of the re-born rear-wheel-drive sports car not due until early 2022.

Nissan joins fellow Japanese car brand Mazda in releasing collaborations with shoemakers for driving shoes.
