Nissan has released a limited run of Navara ST dual-cab 4x4 ute to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Navara in Australia.
Production is capped at 600 units, priced at $41,888 for the manual variant or $44,138 for the auto. Both prices are inclusive of on-road costs and offer a considerable saving over the manufacturer's list prices of $46,800 and $49,050 for the standard (D40) models. Additional features fitted to the Navara 25th Anniversary Limited Edition include: alloy bullbar, driving lights, towbar with wiring kit, smoked bonnet protector, tub liner, soft tonneau cover, carpet floor mats, metallic paint and badging.
“The Nissan Navara has a strong and impressive heritage that spans more than 25 years, so we are pleased to celebrate this milestone with the Nissan Navara 25th Anniversary Limited Edition,” said Nissan Australia MD William F Peffer Jr.
Navara was introduced to Australia in D21 form (the platform shared with the first Pathfinder) in 1986 and remained on sale here until 1992. Its successor, the D22 Navara, remains on sale alongside the D40 model, despite dating back to 1993 – nearly 20 years. It has been the D22's on-going sales success that has helped keep the Navara at the forefront of the VFACTS pick-up and cab-chassis segments over time.
