Nissan Navara updated for 2020

An upgraded 2020 Nissan Navara range has been announced and it’s headlined by revised styling, improved NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) levels and minor price increases.

Available in dealerships from this month, the MY20 Navara line-up also brings a fresh new look – at least for ST grades, dual-cab variants of which get a Black Styling Package that includes a black grille, mirror caps, alloy sport bar and fog light surrounds.

Priced from $42,050 before on-roads, the Navara ST twin-cab also now gets larger 18-inch black-on-silver alloy wheels (up from 16-inch) and more ground clearance as a result.

An acoustic windscreen that reduces wind and road noise inside the cabin is now standard on every model, as are more sound deadening materials around the centre console, firewall and transmission tunnel.

A new engine cover also helps minimise noise from the Navara’s 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which continues to produce 140kW/450Nm and is still paired to either a seven-speed auto or six-speed manual transmissions.

Safety tech for ST-X, N-TREK and N-TREK Warrior variants continues to include an Around View 360-degree monitor and hill descent control, while all Navaras get seven airbags, stability control with brake limited-slip differential, anti-lock brakes, daytime running lights (DRL) and, for pick-up versions, a reversing camera.

Also standard across SL, ST, ST-X, N-TREK and N-TREK Warrior grades is Nissan’s latest 8.0-inch Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment (AIVI) system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

All models come with a 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity and a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.

Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester said the changes deliver even more of what customers want from their Navara.

“Not only do they add more refinement right across the dual-cab range, but they also unlock a new tough look for one of our most popular, and most accessible models, the Navara ST,” he said.
