Nissan has literally lifted one corner of the shroud concealing its new NV300 van to reveal corporate styling for the nose – and little else.
The van, which will fill the gap between existing NV200 and NV400 models, will go on sale in Europe from the northern hemisphere autumn (our spring) with a five-year/100,000 mile (160,000km) warranty. Different variants will be available, including a people mover, and Nissan plans to offer the NV300 with a range of Euro6 diesel engines.
The global launch is scheduled for the Hanover motor show in September and the NV300 is reportedly to be built at a Renault plant in France, alongside the Trafic.
Nissan Australia advises that there are no plans to bring the NV300 here. The company told motoring.com.au three years ago that it had overturned an earlier decision to bring Nissan vans to Australia. Nothing has changed since.
