The RAM 2500 and 3500 duo have been upgraded for the 2026 model year with a fresh exterior look, more technology, safety and comfort features as well as an enhanced powertrain – all for no extra outlay.

The good news for owners of big caravans, boats and horse floats is that pricing is unchanged, with the 2025 RAM 2500/3500 range still opening from $172,950 plus on-road costs.
Headlining the upgrades is a significant overhaul of the turbocharged 6.7-litre Cummins straight-six diesel engine, with peak power up 13 per cent to 313kW and maximum torque up 26 per cent to 1458Nm.

A new eight-speed automatic transmission and revised 3:42:1 final drive ratio also contributes to the improved performance while bringing efficiency and refinement gains out on the highway.
Both the 2500 and 3500 come standard with the ‘Black Pack’ treatment – including grille, wheels, wing mirrors, and side steps – along with the ‘Sport Hood’ power-bulge bonnet.
Inside, the revamped interior features a more luxurious five-seat layout, a multi-layer centre console, and powered sunroof up front.

Other interior add-ons include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, dual wireless smartphone charging pads, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four USB-A and four USB-C ports.
Speed sign activation, an updated lane-keep assist system and autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cycling detection add to the vehicles’ advanced safety suite.

RAM Trucks Australia said the introduction of its most luxurious line-up since the heavy-duty pick-ups first arrived in 2015 is “in response to changing market demands”.
With showroom deliveries due to start next month, the local distributor is hoping the better value proposition will help it steal sales from the more popular and slightly cheaper Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD LTZ Premium rival.
The brand has sold 411 2500/3500 HD pick-ups so far this year ending September compared to Chevrolet’s 1118 Silverado 2500s.

To assist those buyers in their luxury load hauler purchase, RAM Trucks Australia has launched a new online towing calculator.
“We want people to make sure they have the right vehicle for their intended purpose,” general manager Jeff Barber said.
“Customers are demanding more luxury, as heavy-duty vehicles are now the first choice for many people when it comes to doing a lap of Australia.
“They want to travel in style and comfort, and without going over their GVM or GCM.”
