Novitec's wild Ferrari F12

German tuner unleashes the Novitec Rosso N-Largo – a wide-bodied, amped-up-version of Ferrari's sublime F12
We recently tested Ferrari’s F12 and concluded the V12-powered coupe pretty much nailed it in every department.
However, that’s never stopped aftermarket tuners such as Novitec, Mansory and Edo Competition from tampering with exotica to extract extra power and bump up the wow factor.
Behold the elaborately named Novitec Rosso N-Largo, which is the German tuner’s extreme take on a car that was hardly a shrinking violet in the first place.
The radical makeover begins by turfing much of the standard bodywork and replacing it with carbonfibre panels that broaden the car’s stance appreciably. The N-Largo measures an ultra-brawny 205cm across the rear haunches, a whopping 11cm wider than the donor car.
Filling out the bulging guards are Novitec Rosso NF5 NL forged three-piece wheels (21-inchers at the front and 22s at the back). Wrapped around the rear rims are Pirelli P ZERO high-performance 335/25 ZR 22 tyres, and they undoubtedly need every bit of contact patch they offer, thanks to the upgrades implemented on the brutal 6.3-litre V12.
A remapped ECU and free-flow quad exhaust system (available with or without controlled butterfly valve) boost power to 574kW at 8600rpm and a beefy 722Nm at 6400rpm – compared to 545kW and 690Nm for the stocker.
Novitec claims these tweaks enable the bespoke Ferrari to top 350km/h, which is 10km/h more than the standard car can manage.
We’ll leave it up to you to decide if the car is masterpiece or abomination, but Novitec says the bodywork mods aren’t just about aesthetics, claiming they reduce negative lift to boost high-speed stability.
In addition, the rear fenders incorporate large air intakes to feed cooling air to the ceramic stoppers, while the vents adjacent to the taillights extract heat from the rear wheel wells.
In keeping with its tailor-made orientation, the Novitec Rosso can be ordered with leather or Alcantara interior trim, in any colour you like.
There’s no word as yet on pricing, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the German fettled Fezza virtually doubles the outlay for the standard car.
