The series centres on Mr Bean who always finds a way to turn the most ordinary situations into moments of excruciating embarrassment and causes disruption in the process. Mr Bean is described by creator and actor Rowan Atkinson as a child in a grown man's body. As well as Mr Bean, a popular and recurring character to the series is a Citron-Green 1977 British Leyland Mini 1000 Mark 4 who most often than not sits at the centre of Mr Bean’s antics.
Throughout the series, there were three main Minis used as well as two others painted with the same colour scheme but without an engine. These were used in the more dramatic scenes such as the one where it gets crushed by a tank.
An iconic feature of the Mini was the bolt-latch and padlock fitted to it, which became a running joke across the series. With many appearances and the strangest situations, here are five of our favourite car moments from Mr Bean.
