One-off Rolls-Royce Ghost Shooting Brake snared

Customer-commissioned wagon based on luxury limo thought to be work of car-maker's bespoke division; would have cost many millions to make

Rolls-Royce has been caught testing what's thought to be a one-off 'shooting brake' version of the current Rolls-Royce Ghost limousine.

Spotted while testing in Europe, it's believed the mystery Rolls-Royce wagon was being given a shakedown run ahead of certification and delivery to its (very) wealthy owner.

Sadly, the prototype's heavy camouflage disguises much of what looks like a rakish shooting brake-style body, rather than a boxy traditional wagon.

Picking up where the glamorous Rolls-Royce Sweptail left off, the Ghost-based Shooting Brake is evidence of a growing trend among the luxury British car-maker's millionaire customer base towards commissioning one-off bespoke creations.

No further details have been released on the one-off Roller, although some have suggested that instead of a wagon, the mule spotted here is a fiendishly disguised test bed for the 'Son of Sweptail' that was recently previewed by patents.

All is expected to be known shortly, when the car-maker officially reveals its one-off creation -- possibly in the next month or so.
