GM's European arm, Opel, has released pictures of a facelifted Zafira Tourer people mover.
On sale this October in markets like the UK, the facelift is an update of the people-mover that first went on sale back in 2011. The Zafira almost made it to Australia - and in fact a handful were brought in for journalists to drive for the car's media launch, the week before Opel announced it was closing shop here.
To freshen it up, the small people-mover gets revised front and rear bumpers that make it look more like the latest Astra.
The new nose also features adaptive LED headlights that adjust to road conditions and have different settings for town and country driving. The set-up even features what Opel says is a 'tourist' mode.
Inside, there's the Astra's latest seven-inch infotainment screen that works with both Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto.
The family-friendly people mover also comes with GM's OnStar connectivity system and can now act as a WiFi hotspot for up to seven devices.
Safety also improves as part of the Zafira's tweaks with lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and collision warning now available. Both adaptive cruise control and adaptive dampers also hit the options list.
Space inside is the same as the outgoing car, all Zafiras coming standard with its predecessor's innovative Flex7 seating.
Originally, the Opel Zafira was set to be launched Down Under before a last-minute decision by GM's management ruled out the people mover for Australian buyers. With the growth, and popularity, of seven-seat SUVs, Holden is not expected to reverse that decision.
