Pagani reveals Huayra Pearl
One-off hypercar gets roof-mounted air intake and comprehensive aero redesignPagani has revealed the special one-off Huayra it teased at the beginning of April.
Commissioned by a wealthy individual, the Huayra Pearl features a roof-mounted air intake that looks like it’s been lifted from the old Zonda Cinque and R models.
At the rear of the car, meanwhile, is the unmistakeable split rear wing from the first Zonda C12 or S models -- yet more evidence of the substantial work the Italian car-maker has invested in maximising downforce while reducing drag for the big coupe.
Featuring blue-tinted carbon-fibre body panels, Pagani claims the Pearl is one of one and that no more versions will be available.
Unfortunately, it’s not known what powers the exclusive Huayra. The Italian car-maker hasn’t confirmed full technical specification yet but it’s likely it will come with the more powerful 588kW/1000Nm 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 the recently Huayra BC came with.
The Huayra Pearl is not the only car that Pagani will launch this year.
A roadster is already known to be in the late stages of development and has already reportedly been shown to potential customers, although images have yet to emerge.
Pagani hasn’t disclosed how expensive the one-off Huayra Pearl has been sold for, although it’s expected to cost its wealthy owner around $2-3 million.
