Land Rover has proven it is possible to drive a 2500kg Range Rover over a bridge made entirely of paper.
The freestanding bridge, that took three days to make, was constructed entirely out of an incredible 54,390 pieces of paper and contained no screws, bolts, glues or adhesives.
Made by hand the bridge project came about following a partnership with British artist Steve Messam and Brit paper maker James Cropper PLC.
Built in the ancient water city of Suzhou, China, that’s been described as the ‘Venice of the East’ and famous for bridges, the slightly bizarre stunt was designed to celebrate the opening of the 2015 Guangzhou motor show that opens its doors today.
The stunt was also used to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Range Rover in one of its most important markets.
