PARIS MOTOR SHOW: Ferrari debuts 458 Speciale A

Most powerful Spider in Ferrari history is coming to Australia, but in limited numbers
Ferrari will build just 499 units of the 458 Speciale A for worldwide consumption. And some will even make it to Australia from early 2015.
Basically a drop-top version of the 458 Speciale (the 'A' is for the Italian word Aperta, 'open'), the limited-production Spider comes with the same upgraded V8 of the donor car, good for 445kW and 540Nm. Active aerodynamics and lightweight materials contribute to the car's performance.
The show car in Paris has been completed in a triple-coat colour named Modena Yellow, a tribute to the city that is Ferrari's long-standing home base. Blue and white striping down the middle pays homage to Luigi Chinetti's American racing team of the 1960s.
The local distributor has confirmed the 458 Speciale A will be sold in Australia, from Q1 next year, priced from $635,000.
Also at the Paris show, Ferrari unveiled a 'Tailor Made' FF with personalisation options, and a California T with Apple CarPlay installed; offering voice and touch control for select infotainment functions.
