Lamborghini has revealed a roadster version of the Centenario LP 770-4 coupe it unveiled at the Geneva motor show at an ultra-exclusive event last night at the Pebble Beach d'Elegance Concours classic car show in California.
Sharing its visually dazzling design with the coupe, including its enormous rear diffuser, the Centenario was originally created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth.
Based on the firm's Aventador supercar, the Centario roadster comes with the more powerful 566kW version of the 6.5-litre V12.
The roadster, which weighs almost the same as the 1520kg coupe, is said to hit 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds, 300km/h in 23.5 seconds and reach a top speed well beyond 350km/h.
As well as huge performance, the Centenario also introduces new features alien to the Italian car-maker.
Both coupe and roadster come with an active rear wing that can adjust to give more downforce or less drag. The all-wheel drive Centenario also benefits from the addition of rear-wheel steering that helps tighten turning circles at low speed, boost agility on track and increase stability at high speeds.
Inside, the roadster shares the same interior as an Aventador but gets more exposed carbon-fibre and a trick 10.1-inch multimedia screen that's mounted between the front seats.
Lamborghini has announced it will build just 20 coupes and 20 roadsters.
Each will sell for around $2.65 million but if you're interested in owning the tribute to the firm's founder you're too late.
All of them have already been sold, Lamborghini has confirmed.
