There's more value in Peugeot's Partner and Expert vans for the new model year. The local importer has announced the light commercial vehicles are upgraded and offer improved standard equipment to go with the cleaner looks.
Pricing commences from $21,990 for the Partner L1 (short body) petrol variant with manual transmission. That's a $400 reduction from last year, despite the inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity with USB input, passenger airbag, daytime running lights and a sliding door on the passenger side. Peugeot claims the addition features are would normally retail for $1500. The long body (L2) variant has increased in price by $600, but gains the additional features already noted above, other than the passenger-side sliding door, which was already a standard feature. Power hikes for the two engines in the Partner range are 72kW (up from 66) for the 1.6-litre petrol four-cylinder, and 68kW for the 1.6-litre diesel (also 66kW previously). The Expert also boasts more power, with the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel now developing 120kW (up from 88kW previously). A six-speed automatic transmission is now available as an extra-cost option for $2000. The long-wheelbase manual variant has increased in price from $35,990 to $38,990, but the $3000 rise is offset by equipment Peugeot claims to be worth $4100. That includes electronic stability control, Bluetooth with USB input and cruise control. The Expert for 2013 can be identified by a new grille and colour-coded bumpers.
