Peugeot high-rider concept for Paris show?

Rumours abound of an all-wheel drive Peugeot to follow the sleek SR1 Concept revealed earlier this year

Peugeot's delectable all wheel drive SR1 Concept hybrid drop-top (pictured) that was revealed at the beginning of this year is rumoured to be followed by a new high-rider crossover concept to be revealed at this year's Paris motor show in September.

Details are at best sketchy at this stage, but the high-rider version of the SR1 is expected to be dubbed H1 and based on the upcoming Citroen DS4. It will introduce a PSA Peugeot-Citroen diesel hybrid as part of a similar AWD layout seen in the SR1, where an electric motor is devoted to driving the rear wheels and a reciprocating engine drives the front wheels.

The SR1 Concept boasts a collective reading of 230kW with commensurate accelerative abilities, yet is claimed to return fuel consumption readings of 4.9L/100km and a CO2 output of 119g/km. Who knows how clean and thrifty a similarly-contrived turbodiesel hybrid would be?

Rumours give the upcoming H1 crossover the same 4.3-metre overall length as the chunky Citroen DS4 high-rider, while persistent scuttlebutt suggests the front end will give some clue to the upcoming Peugeot 207 replacement, the 208.
