Peugeot is introducing both the 308 CC and the 308 XTS hatch at tomorrow's Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.
Fresh from the Paris motor show, the 308 CC will be the centre of attention on the French manufacturer's stand, even though the production version won't go on sale locally until April next year. This model (more here) will introduce Airwave, Peugeot's neck-warming facility that works along the same lines as Mercedes-Benz's AIRSCARF system.
The 308 XTS is marketed as the 308 GT in other countries. Powered by the same 128kW version of the 1.6-litre turbo engine jointly developed with BMW and introduced in the 207 GTi, the flagship of the 308 range also features a six-speed manual transmission, a re-styled front apron, a rear spoiler, lowered ride height, 18-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights, front fog lights and a chrome exhaust tip.
Inside, the 308 XTS is equipped with sports seats trimmed complemented by leather bolsters, a panoramic glass sunroof, aluminium gear knob, aluminium pedals, a new design of leather-bound steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, a tyre pressure warning system and a trip computer.
The 308 XTS is officially on sale, priced at $38,990.
