Peugeot to reprise Climb Dance

More footage of Seb testing Pikes Peak 208

Internet rally circles are buzzing with talk and footage of Sebastien Loeb’s first mountain testing of Peugeot’s wild 208 based Pikes Peak racer.

Last week official footage was released of the car testing at Peugeot’s development facility far from any hills. Now, the team that took Loeb to seven world rally championships (albeit wearing Citroen badges) has headed south to one of the Tour de France’s iconic mountain climbs to test and film the 850hp specialist racer in its official Red Blue livery.

So far nothing has surfaced from Peugeot or Red Bull, but we couldn’t resist grabbing a peek at the amateur footage of Seb and the 208 on Mont Ventoux that’s now hitting the Net. This clip clearly shows a camera car and videographers aboard a helicopter -- so the official stuff can’t be far away. It’s suggested too that the test session included a roll out of the original Climb Dance star, Ari Vartanen’s 405 T16. No news on whether the Finn was behind the wheel...
