Pininfarina Battista hypercar gets bespoke treatment

Pure-electric hypercar to benefit from extensive personalisation program

Pininfarina has announced that no two examples of its new Pininfarina Battista electric hypercar will be the same thanks to the huge scope of personalisation to be offered.

Already dubbed the most powerful road-legal car ever produced in Italy and claimed to be faster than a Formula 1 racer, the all-electric 2021 Pininfarina Battista boasts outputs of 1416kW and 2300Nm and has already been confirmed for Australia and New Zealand with each model priced from a cool $3.5 million.

Just 150 will be made, but each will be offered with an astonishing 128 million exterior/interior colour combinations that taps into Pininfarina's 91-year heritage of coachbuilding.

To help customers specify the Battista of their dreams, buyers are invited to Pininfarina's workshop in Cambiano, near Turin, to select paint colours, carbon-fibre finishes and interior trim.

Revealing its first customer commission, the first Battista is claimed to have been inspired by New York City. That explains the subtle red, white and blue colour scheme, while inside there's an exposed blue carbon-fibre weave trim.

Other unique design features include white body stripes that have been applied by hand, exposed black carbon-fibre and red accent lines.

The aluminium centre-lock rings for the alloy wheels have also been anodised black to match the roof, rear diffuser and big wing.

Inside, the Battista New York commission features black leather seats with blue Alcantara inserts.

There's also red, white and blue stitching, logos on the head restraints and white seat belts.

Pininfarina says it also offers custom engraving for the chassis plate that's positioned between the seats.
